THE WILDHEARTS Frontman Explains Tour Cancellation
December 13, 2003THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger has issued the following statement regarding his recently cancelled acoustic tour:
"Dear all, the reason for cancellation of the acoustic tour is that I have broken my hand. Bollocks, 'n' all that, but the tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled dates. Sorry to anyone that has arranged travel for these shows, but a one-handed acoustic show? I'm sure that would entertain very few people!"
As previously reported, THE WILDHEARTS will release a special version of their "Riff After Riff" CD in the U.S. through Gearhead Records in the spring. The group's first American release since 1993's "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" will contain all the tracks from the Japanese version of "Riff After Riff" minus "Vanilla Radio", plus several bonus cuts.
THE WILDHEARTS will be performing at South By Southwest and undertaking a U.S. tour with THE DRAGONS beginning in March (dates to be confirmed).
